What a painting company website needs to get estimate requests
Before-and-after photos, service areas, a short form and trust signals: what a painter's website needs to turn visits into estimate requests.

Someone wants to paint their house before selling, refresh a kitchen or fix an exterior that looks tired. They grab their phone, search for painters and open three or four websites.
They are not judging the design. They want to know four things: whether you do that job, whether you work in their area, whether your work looks good and how to ask you for a quote. The website that answers that first has the advantage.
Start with what you do and where
The first screen should say something like "Interior and exterior painting in northwest Calgary and Cochrane", with a button to request an estimate. Phrases like "complete painting solutions" do not help anyone decide.
Show real before-and-after photos
In painting, photos sell better than any text. Use photos of your own jobs, well lit and in good resolution. A before-and-after pair of the same room or exterior shows quality better than ten random photos.
If you do not have good photos yet, start taking them on your next job. There are tips in how to use before-and-after photos.
One page per service
Split interior, exterior, cabinet and commercial painting into separate pages. Each one can answer its own questions:
- Interior: how you protect furniture and floors, how long a room takes, whether you move furniture.
- Exterior: prep, washing, scraping, caulking, which months you work.
- Cabinets: process, time without a kitchen, finish.
- Commercial: after-hours work, insurance, WCB coverage, crew size.
This helps the customer and it helps Google, because each page answers a specific search.
A short form that works on a phone
Ask only for what you need to prepare the estimate: name, phone or email, type of job, areas or rooms, postal code and, if possible, photos. Explain what happens next: "We reply the same business day to book a visit or quote from your photos."
Test it on a phone before sending paid traffic.
Trust signals
People are going to let your crew into their home. It helps to show:
- Real Google reviews with the customer's name.
- Liability insurance and WCB coverage.
- Your workmanship warranty, if you offer one, in plain words.
- Your face or your crew's. People hire people.
Fast and easy to use
A slow website loses visitors before they see your work. Compress photos, avoid heavy animations and check the speed on a phone. If you replace your website, keep or redirect the old addresses so you do not lose what already ranks on Google.
Measure what works
Set up call and form tracking so you know which pages bring estimates. Then check which ones became jobs. That tells you which pages to improve first.
